Let us help you tell it.
We strive to create films that are engaging, authentic, and uniquely you. Giving you the chance to not only see your wedding unfold, but to feel it's emotions all over again. Essentially, we sell time travel.
Hold that thought.
Photography isn't about the photos, its about the moments. The ones you experienced and the ones you missed. Whether it's your first kiss at the altar or your first cousin on the dance floor. All these moments stitch together to form a beautiful image of what it was like on that day.
WHO WE ARE
Driftwood began when Jesse and Zach took to the road and wanted to share their adventures with friends & family. The pit stops, car troubles, hitchhikers, and camp outs became stories begging to be told. Transitioning from amateur travel photography to professionally shooting weddings was a fun and natural progression for the two filmmaker/photographers. Their hope is to help share your story with those closest to you, because what’s a wedding if not the start of a great adventure?
Raised in Newmarket, Ontario, Jesse Korgemaa has since become an advocate for Hamilton, the city he now proudly calls home with his wife Emma and daughter Dorothy. Jesse’s mom, an avid photographer as well as camera collector, was an early influence, but it was his desire to record himself skateboarding that sparked his own interest.
These days, having put his skateboard aside, capturing the beauty of momentary human interactions inspires Jesse the most: the tangible anticipation of wedding days, celebrations, tears of joy, and uncontrollable laughter.
Zach Rose was born in Aurora, Ontario, but now bikes his way around the streets of Toronto. Despite growing up around cameras and a father who worked with film, Zach’s own photographic ambitions didn’t begin until 2009 when he travelled across Australia and The States with Driftwood partner, Jesse.
A creative member of the Instagram community with over 75,000 followers, Zach’s portfolio is marked by simple, naturally lit, candid photography, featuring friends, strangers, pets, landscapes, local hot-spots, and of course, newly married couples.
